Hi,
If I'm not mistaken, either wool or a wool blend was used to make Kit's coat.
It is nicely made.
Best of all, it's lined. This is really important because having a sleek lining not only gives the coat a finished look of quality but it also helps a lot when getting those splayed fingers through the sleeves.
Years ago, I got the Sugarplum coat. I just 'knew' before I'd seen it that I was going to love it. Wrong! It wasn't lined. Worse, the fabric material had a loose weave that ended up snagging the fingers several times before getting the hands through. I was so disappointed that I sent the coat back after only trying it on a doll once.
Kit's burgundy hat and mittens do seem to add the right hint of colour to contrast that gray. The gray coat alone just doesn't look anywhere near as good without these additional accessories.
