This is a great, festive piece that is perfect for winter fun and holiday displays. The main sled seems to made out of a smooth, lightweight wood that is painted green. It has a dark decorative design on it. The runners and backrest are bright red. The backrest is definitely plastic; I can’t tell with certainty what the runners are made of.

I love the little details like the bell in front and the rails on the sides. There is a red string in front, which is just long enough for Addy to pull the sled along behind her or to hold on to if she is riding the sled. The sled is the right size for Addy to sit on with her legs out in front of her.

Overall, I love the festive and decorative aspects of this sled, and I give it a solid A if used for displays. However, I don’t like that some parts feel plastic-y, and I agree with other reviewers that it feels too fragile to hold up to play. That might bring it down to a C+ as a child’s toy.
