Fancy Coat Set (RETIRED)

At first I was ambivalent about this coat. I expected it to be all plush faux fur. I was disapointed there was velcro on the coat too. The body of the coat is "wool" and it's trimmed in faux fur. The coat feels really thin and not worth the full price. The trim is very nice and the fur is soft. The coat has a nipped in waist yet Samantha's Christmas dress has a dropped waist. It closes with buttons but the top button and waist are velcro. The sleeves are cut very tight and barely fit over Ruth(ie)'s arms! It fits fine over a short sleeve dress but I can't get it on over PM Samantha's hands let alone up her arms. The hat is really cute and adds to the outfit but it doesn't really fit on her head. I left the gloves in Samantha's box and forgot to put them on Ruth. Once the coat was on, I liked it much better. Ruth liked it too and said it was warm enough.

It DOES fit over PM Samantha's hands with a bit of wiggling. It fits over her school dress (Buster Brown) but she can't really move her arms once they're shoved into the coat! The hat actually fits on her head and the fancy gloves fit over her hands. She looks like a very elegant stuffed potato.
