I never did a review for Willa! Younger niece, Miss O, purchased Willa last spring and Willa continues to be a favorite. The Wellie Wisher's size, fixed eyes and plastic body make her the ideal traveling companion. O's Willa has been to Disney World, on sleepovers, to Dad's house and my house. She went time traveling to a museum too. The outfit is not exactly appealing to an adult but the child loves it. She mixes and matches the shirt with other pieces in strange combinations. The pieces are small and easy to lose. Willa's face is utterly adorable and my favorite of the WW line. I love her sweet freckles and friendly expression. However, what on earth was AG thinking making a doll with curly hair for a 5-7 year old? O will be 8 in June and she can't manage Willa's hair on her own. I've combed/picked it and curled it around my fingers twice now and frequent outfit changes just make her hair messy. If I were AG, I would have gone with short, sleek bobs on these dolls! The plastic body could be better but O doesn't notice or mind. It makes Willa easier to play with than the 18" cloth bodies. I'd give Willa an A- for the target age in terms of playability but a solid A for an adult collector wanting a cheery companion. Willa makes a good big sister for mini Maryellen/little sister for Maryellen Willa loves dresses. Willa is ready for the pool at Disney World
