Nanea’s mom made most of her clothes. She often used palaka, a traditional Hawaiian checkered fabric that was easy to find on the islands. This outfit includes: A cropped top with a bow at the sweetheart neckline , High-waisted shorts with front pleats and wide legs, Green sandals with crisscross ankle straps and cutout hearts, A faux plumeria flower clip for her hair.
This set includes cropped top and shorts, green sandals, and plumeria flower.
The cropped top looks really short when you first put it on Nanea, but it's balanced out by the high-waisted shorts.
The shorts were a pain-in-the-behind (pun intended!) to pull on. They don't have velcro, just elastic in the back. They might be easier to slip on if you remove Nanea's underwear, but still, they're pretty tight. Because of the shorts, I wouldn't give this outfit to a little kid, as I fear that too much tugging would lead to rips. I don't even know if I'd want her to sit in those bottoms. Like I said, they're tight!
The sandals have cute little heart details.
I really love the plumeria flower, which is made of fabric. I'm glad Nanea finally got a plumeria!
