I LOVE this doll! For years, she has not appealed to me. In fact, I didn't really like her. Then, I saw the pictures posted in this thread by FelicityFan85 . . . and I knew that I needed to have one. Thanks to AsianAG , I was even able to buy one right from this forum. She came with the "2008" part number body tag and had what look like the Mattel vinyl parts but the old style pie-shaped banged wig with LOADS of hair. This was her as she came to me:
Her body was very tall, which is (apparently) the norm for this TM doll. My sister actually swapped the cloth body to a doll that we wanted a little taller.
This doll is so much cuter in real life, even than in photos! She looks like she is smiling all the time!
And, if you don't exactly want an Asian doll, she's great with custom wigs. In fact, what appealed to me about this doll's face was the fact that she looked like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans' little girl, Robin (subject of Dale's best-selling book, "Angel Unaware"). So, I changed her wig to a TM #22 blonde wig to make her into my own version of little Robin!
