This item was introduced in 2019, taking the place of the Holiday Outfit (and the earlier Hanukkah Dress).
Hanukkah is Rebecca’s favorite time of year, and this special outfit makes her feel like a star while she celebrates with family. It includes:
A short-sleeved empire-waist dress with delicate cream-dotted mesh and an embroidered overlay, lace sleeves, and a beautiful satin waistband bow
A blue satin hairbow and pair of cream tights to match
Cream-colored double-strap dress shoes from her father’s store, decorated with fancy faux-pearl and rhinestone details
American Girl Rebecca’s Hanukkah Outfit $42. The tights are thick. The shoes are weighty and feel like high quality. The bow is a pressure open clip. The dress is lovely and reminds me of Downton Abbey! I will say that the Velcro isn’t the non catch kind, so it will catch the tulle. I’d also like to mention that the tulle seems to fray a bit. I would fray check the edges personally since I do not want them to fray more. It’s lovely but the fraying does concern me. I can fix it because I sew, but this dress might get ruined in a child’s hands—even with just normal play. I’d recommend it for the adult collector, or for the mom who can fray check the edges for their child.
