I like this dress. It’s a nice shade of green that seems like it can work well in Maryellen’s era or for more modern girls. The dress is made out of a green satin-like fabric. The bodice has a wide neckline and is trimmed with two rows of gathered tulle. A layer of tulle covers the entire skirt portion of the dress. There are three more rows of gathered tulle around the skirt, which I think balances the top well. A ribbon sash goes around the middle. It’s sewn to the side seams of the dress, which sometimes means that the dress’s neckline has to be pulled up a bit to keep the sash covering the waist seam. This seems to work better for me than trying to adjust the sash itself. There’s also a large coral-colored corsage type flower on the sash, and two green ribbons extending down from it. The dress fastens with a strip of Velcro up the back. The dress really needs to have some kind of crinoline under it for support. ME’s crinoline is best, but one of the older pieces (Cécile/Marie-Grace/Addy) can work as an alternative. With ME’s crinoline: With one of the older crinolines: Like one of the other reviewers, I’m not crazy about the accessories that go with this outfit. The shoes are okay, but shiny pink plastic with white bows, so limited versatility with other outfits. And I think the headband is cute but the fit seems just a tad small. Overall, even with the accessories being less than perfect, I still think this dress is attractive and pretty versatile for special occasions, and I’d rate it an A.
