Scenes & Settings (retired)

My brother found this at a local thrift store for around $5. He called to find out if I wanted pictures and I said JUST BUY IT! He was excited to give it to me and wouldn't let me pay him back. This is the only scenes and setting I own and I want them all now. This book is made from heavy, coated cardboard. It has a rubber strap in front that snaps the book closed. This thing is massive when open. It's about 25" across for each image. The images are organized by seasons. I love all the details in Molly's kitchen. Finding the period packaging and seeing her tea set is a lot of fun. I also love the pharmacy scene. The bedroom scene is perplexing because it features an image of her bed. Posing the doll bed in front makes it a 3D scene and look more realistic. Too bad I had JUST made Molly a bedroom in the dollhouse when I got this. The school room scene is fun too with lots of period details. The camp scene is versatile if you strategically place props and dolls in front of the tents. This book held up very well. There are some spots and the edges are a bit worn but overall, it's in great condition. Grade: A+
