This set was part of a February 2020 release that included Melody's Daisy Outfit and other items. It retired in August 2023.
Melody can celebrate Easter with her family, and even enjoy an egg hunt, with this set that includes: A woven paper straw hat with a bow in the back, A button-front knit cardigan, A woven wood Easter basket with Easter grass, A set of three plastic eggs, A chocolate bunny.
I had to get this set because it so reminds me of my white Easter hat and cardigan back in the 1960s when I was Melody’s age. AG is right on the mark with this ensemble from the white smaller brimmed hat with its white ribbon to the elastic under the chin. I’d only wear that hat on Easter with a spongy spring coat over my Easter dress. I give it an A+ for accuracy and it’s also well made .
The cardigan is classic and spans the eras right to today. A little bit of sloppy work around the top button hole that is hidden if you button that top button but I like the cardigan open to show off whatever pretty dress is under it. I give it an A.
The Easter basket is simple with Easter grass , a clump of colored eggs and a chocolate bunny that looks just like Kit’s from her Easter set. I want to add a couple of more items to it and enclose it with a cellophane bag with a bow. I don’t mind that the eggs are clumped. Better to keep them together. I give this a B because I think I can put together something a bit more precious just using Dollar shop trinkets. Still, I’m glad AG invufrd this.
The set costs $35 but worth every cent to me. I’ll add white gloves and hope to find a tiny white purse like one aid carry for church.
