Sweater – A+
The sweater is the reason I purchased this set. It’s a flattering, wintery blue and feels super comfortable. I sort of wish it was a little thicker, but it’s so smooth and comfy that I can’t bring myself to be that bothered by this detail. The decision not to have set-in sleeves is an interesting one from a design standpoint, but I like it. It’s a snug fit and you might have a difficult time getting it on a chunkier PC girl, but it looks nice on a Mattel doll. It fully opens in the back with Velcro for easy dressing (though I do wish it was the non-stick Velcro).

Leggings – A+
I really like these! They’re nice and thick and feel like they’d be appropriately warm for winter. Like the sweater, they may be hard to get on an older doll, but fit the current ones just fine.

Leggings
Headband – B+
I’ve always wanted this headband to have a little more stretch. Maybe it’s just because I’m not a hair person, but I’ve always struggled to get this on a doll’s head. It’s serviceable enough, and I can’t complain about the actual construction, but I’d love some more give to it.
At least it doesn’t have a huge tag like so many of AG’s current headbands.

Because of the problems I have with the stretch, I'm never able to get this very far up on the doll's dead. Hekla isn't worried because it keeps her hair back well enough, but I wish it didn't sit so far back!
Boots – A+
I wish I had a pair of boots like this! They’re soft, comfortable, and easy to slip on. They seem like they’d be nice and warm on a cold winter day.

Good Value?
I bought this set when it came out and paid the full retail price of $30 for it. I honestly think it may have been a bit overpriced for what it came with, but I’m happy with the quality overall and, in light of recent prices, would happily pay for it again.
Overall – A
This set has seen a lot of use in the six years or so that I’ve had it. It’s perfect for a casual winter outfit and its flattering, soft colours making it appropriate for either a holiday outfit or just a general, comfy winter ensemble. It’s been used for a couple of dolls over the years, but now Hekla has claimed it. Previously, it belonged to Saila (Maplelea). Two dolls with very different complexions, but it looks great on either one. A very versatile outfit!

Hekla, looking ready to settle down and open some gifts!
