Lanie Doll & Meet Outfit

I recently purchased a Lanie in an eBay lot; I got a really good deal on her, her meet, her PJs, and her animals (all except the owl). As I'd wanted the animals for a long time it was a no-brainer for me.

When she arrived, her hair was dry and frizzy, but the curls were perfectly intact; I don't think it'd been brushed once by her previous owners.
Naturally, my first order of business was to give her hair a good wash, condition, and brush (brushing each curl out individually and restructuring them around my fingers). The one thing I did notice about her hair is that there are a lot of much shorter pieces in the cap to give the wig fullness (and to cover the wig cap) that makes it a bit more difficult to keep the curls looking smooth and nice.

Her meet outfit is cute, but I think looks better on dolls with darker coloring. On Lanie, it makes her look pale, sallow, and washed out.

I haven't experimented that much on clothes for her, but I think she looks much better in more muted colors.

I'm not entirely sure whether I'll keep her; I'll see if she grows on me enough.
