This set cost $20 and was released in 2015 and retired in 2018. As noted above, the set includes 12 curlers, an instruction card, a drawstring storage bag, and a cap. The curlers are a dark bluish green. Hair can get wrapped around the skinny part of the curler, and then the cone-shaped part folds over to get it to stay put. Here’s a picture of the curlers and the instruction card: I haven’t used curlers before, but I had decent luck in getting them to stay in Jess’s hair. As a first timer, I’m sure I could improve the technique, but I think it’s a good sign that kids could handle these too. I didn’t dampen Jess’s hair before putting it in curlers, but there was still a bit of a curl in her hair when I took them out. The cap is roomy enough to fit over a full head of curlers, but I also like it as a nightcap without the curlers. The storage bag for the curlers has a circular shape on the bottom and closes with ribbon drawstrings. All the curlers fit inside. Both the cap and the storage bag are made out of the same fabric as the pajamas. It’s a nice thick white cotton with a blue and green floral pattern and embellished Swiss dots. The bright, spring green grosgrain bows, which also match the pajama set, are a sweet touch. Overall, I think this set is well made, fun to play with, reasonably priced, and has a lot of thoughtful details. I’d give it an A.
