This woven purple knit bubble skirt comes with purple suspenders that clip onto Courtney’s skirt or jeans with silver clips. It’s perfect for wearing to school or hanging out at the arcade.

The first (and so far only) item in the Courtney collection to disappoint me. I so wanted to love this set. Suspenders were so on trend for the late 80s, and I was super excited to have this set for my Courtney collection. Unfortunately, the suspenders aren't quite long enough. They slide onto the skirt and don't actually clip or fasten. They pop off very easily and just do not stay put. In order to have them even go on the skirt while it's on the doll, the skirt has to be hiked up way too high, making it much too short (underwear will show). The "clips" are also a cheap plastic. I worry these will break with typical play. Had I seen this item in person before buying, I probably would have passed. It took me a long time and a lot of effort to get it on "just so" to look right and stay on in the photo. Kids may get frustrated with this one. The skirt itself is a nice cotton skirt and will do fine on its own in my collection.
