For anyone wondering what the dress looks like without the cardigan, here’s a picture of Jess wearing it ...
It seems like a nice lightweight dress that will be perfect for the summer. I like the colors, lightweight feel, the collar on the dress, and that the dress bodice extends very nearly to the doll’s cloth/vinyl transition.
The grosgrain waistband is loose in front so it might take some attention to place it properly. The fabric also wrinkles easily, and probably would have looked nicer with a quick steam before I took the photos. The other thing I don’t love about it is that fabric pattern doesn’t match up on the back. However, none of these are dealbreakers for me.
Overall I think it’s a sweet, warm-weather dress. It will be an obvious choice for patriotic holidays, and I guess for school, too.
