Cape: A+
The cape is made of thick faux fur that isn’t particularly special, but it is soft. AG attempted to make it look like actual fur with a soft suede-like lining that’s been cut in a zigzag pattern to, I assume, give it the appearance of having been cut from an actual hide. It’s very obviously not real fur, but I still like the look of it. Red straps tie the cape around Kaya’s shoulders (I don’t know how accurate the red is, but it looks nice).
Be aware that if you have the version of Kaya’s Meet Dress or Adorned Deerskin Dress that have the winged-out shoulders, you’ll have to fold the wings back if you want the cape to fit. This makes me smile – I love some of AG’s oopsies.

Inside...look at that zigzag cut!
Moccasins: A
These are very similar to man of the other moccasins in Kaya’s collection. This pair is made of dark brown suede and are lined with thick faux fur. They look warm and cozy. Also like many of Kaya’s moccasins, these can be difficult to get on (or easy, I suppose…if you haven’t had a hard time with her other shoes, you probably won’t have a difficult time with these!). Personally, I struggled.

Mittens: A
They’re made of the same fabric as the boots with the same faux fur trim. They slide easily onto Kaya’s hands and go up to her elbows. They look nice and warm.

Hood: A+
Also made from the same fabric as the boots and mittens with the same faux fur trip, this also features two feathers, one red and one black and white, and leather straps to tie it under Kaya’s chin. It’s a bit of a difficult fit if Kaya has her hair shells in, but it does fit. Like every other component, it looks very comfortable and warm.

Good Value?
Currently, you can get this for $28 from AG directly. I got mine on the secondary market for around $20. I think AG’s price is fair. It may not be a “typical” winter outfit, but it feels very authentic to Kaya and the pieces are nice.
Overall: A+
I really like this set and appreciate the practicality of how it builds onto Kaya’s other dresses to add warmth in cold months. The individual pieces all look and feel warm and comfortable – I have no doubt that Kaya will be appropriately warm when it snows here in Ohio. As a child, I never had any interest in this winter set, but I’m really enjoying it as an adult. A must have for Kaya, I think.

Staying nice and warm in the snow.

And a closeup of Kaya's lovely face and how the hood fits.
