I agree that the pleats are annoying with their tendency to bunch up.
Almost everything else about this dress is wonderful. I love the soft coral color and the heaviness of the fabric. It is summery without being flimsy.
I do find it unfortunate that the Greek key scrollwork was not continued all the way around the dress. It looks awkward.
This is one of the few dresses that Addy can wear her cage crinoline under without any difficulty. It gives a great shape to the dress.
Grade: B+ with points deducted for bunchy pleats and incomplete trim.
I'd love to put Addy's hair in sausage curls as in the illustration from her book, but the curls never last for long!
