I lucked out and found Skylar at a thrift store for $4. She isn't brand new quality, but receiving her has piqued my interest in the practically forgotten Hopscotch Hill line. Her hair is super soft and very curly. Unfortunately mine has been cut, but it still seems like very good quality. I have no idea how its held up so well over so any years of play. She was missing her vest, her hair clips, and her bag. But her clothes are good quality, comparable to what I would expect from the 18" dolls. I do like dolls with articulation, but it seems like a poor choice to give this kind of articulation to the dolls meant for younger girls. About every HHS doll I've seen has floppy limbs, I've even heard some collectors say their dolls have been left in storage and developed floppy limbs. Overall, I think AG got the demographic right with the Wellie Wishers, and they seem to be doing much better sales wise, and I think they hold up better play wise. That being said, I do enjoy this line, and they seem to be selling at a very low price point, so who knows, I may be getting more into it! https://www.instagram.com/p/COef59AMYBL
