It’s been a couple of years since I posted my initial review of this item, and at that time, the only thing that kind of bugged me was the way the print on the swimsuit was pieced together. Since then I’ve able to replace it with another swimsuit that I like much better.
This one still still cuts up the pattern (of mountains, houses, trees, and flowers) into small pieces on the front panels of the bodice, but the way that these pieces are cut helps to make the pattern and print more clear and noticeable. I also think that the way the pattern is offset in each panel is more balanced than in the first swimsuit I got (where some panels seemed to line up and others clearly didn’t). Coincidentally, the top piece here is a strip from the pink part of the design, but I think green would have looked good, too.
Overall, I’m still a fan of Nanea’s Island Swimsuit set, and I like this one quite a bit more than the last. My advice to others, especially if you’re particular and/or paying a premium, is to try to pick out the actual swimsuit you’re getting rather than relying on stock photos, as the looks of this piece can vary.
