Coat: A+
This is a heavy coat made out of a woollen material. It drops to just over the knees and opens with real double-breasted buttons in the front. The sleeves are rolled up and stay in place. The belt around the middle actually fastens and has reinforced buttonholes for that purpose. The coat also has the outline of pockets, but they aren’t actually functional. The belt gives the back a very sophisticated look. I think this is a very classic look that could work on a variety of dolls.

Good Value?
This retailed for $24, which I think was a bit much for a coat at the time (especially when the whole outfit could cost just as much). On the secondary market, the cost seems to fluctuate depending on what comes with the coat. You should be able to find it for a fair price – it was available for a long time.
Overall: A+
I love this coat for its classic look and practical fabrics. Also, as someone who spent part of her childhood in Cincinnati, I could easily see this coat being comfy and warm in the winter months. I’ve wanted it for Kit for years, and I’m delighted to finally have it!
