The pocket hoops are meant to go under Felicity's Christmas dress. The stays lace up in a zig zag pattern. You knot them at one end, thread them through the holes and and tie at the top or cheat and do it the criss-cross way Pleasant Co. intended.
The pocket hoops tie in front with the pockets hanging down and the slits over her pocket.
The stays help Felicity or Elizabeth keep perfect posture and give her dresses a nice fit and a flat front.
