This photo shows the difference between an authentic coat and what I am sure is a grey market coat. Note the difference in the length, fullness and buttons (they're on the wrong side on the grey market one).
When I purchased Kirsten's coat on e-bay, I didn't know anything about the grey market. After learning about it through this board, I looked for a tag in my coat and there wasn't one. I didn't ask the seller about a tag because I assumed the coat was genuine and would have a tag, but it wasn't until I read here about the grey market and looked for a tag that I discovered no tag, no genuine coat. This also told me that I paid way too much for the coat.
I eventually purchased another coat and knew to ask about a tag. When I received the coat, I compared it to my first one and then I saw the differences.
I'm guessing that whoever produced the coats is no longer doing it, so they haven't changed the buttons to the correct side on more recent ones.
