These pets are just plush toys you can buy anywhere. Buffy, the kitten, is at least different colors. Neither of them is the right scale to be a puppy or kitten. Buffy, especially, is too big. In the book, she likes to sit on Isabel's head. Here you can see how BIG the cat is compared to Isabel's head.
