Mine was broken also. But I did make it (on a very hot day--bad idea). I made own pattern by piecing together the broken ones. I used a "mortar" of flour water and allspice. Color was perfect.
It is very cute..will try to post picture. I did use the original candy pieces but used icing from grocery store tubes. (think I used the AG pastry bag for the edging).
There is also one of the AG cookbooks that gives great ideas for gingerbread houses by using
graham crackers. That is so easy and kids love to do that too.
When the AG Gingerbread house and my made-up goo finally dried I did give it a coat of spray varnish.
