I love this! I was surprised to find the leather straps are red, they look more brown in the stock photos.
The pencil box is indeed very thin and made of very light... stuff. It doesn't feel like plastic though. Balsa wood perhaps? It would dent easily and the 'paint' or whatever comes off when you slide the lid in and out of the grooves.
Apart from that, I love the detail, the little pen with its nib, the pencils and the books.
