I'm not usually one to go for the modern outfits that AG puts out for historicals, but I think this is exceptionally beautiful. The boots could be tricky for a child to finangle, so that reduces its playability...but OTOH I've never been one to advocate for Kaya as a doll for a younger child in the target age range. I think an older girl should be able to handle the lacing. My necklace has the magnetic clasp and it's definitely a choker in all aspects of that word! Overall grade: A
