Thanks. I guess there was a batch of holiday gown shoes with poorly glued snaps.

The holiday gown's shoes don't have snaps; they have a blue bow that is sewn on. There are also shoes just like them which do have snap-on bows and which came with her shoes and socks set.

Can someone measure the length of one of the straight pins? I lost mine long ago and I have some that might work but I'm not sure if they're too long or not.
