I have a PM 12 off of eBay as well. No issues with hair or anything else about her! I think she has a lot of charm. And as far as eye/hair combinations, the blonde haired brown eyed dolls that came after her are less unique IMO since she was first. 
I give her an A. The only thing taking away the plus is the typical PM stiffness of the hair which is to be expected to some degree.
