I snapped a few photos of Jess before she wiggled out of this outfit for winter. Ours has seen a lot of wear in five years but has held up nicely. The sturdy knit fabric of the pants and the substantial belted vest provide an almost structured look that suits any doll. It is unrelievedly pink and as such belongs entirely to my 9 year old daughter. She loves it, so that works out well. The turtleneck has good mix and match possibilities but the other pieces less so, unless you need a shimmery belted vest for some reason. The pants are a too structured and sporty to serve double duty as leggings. I suppose the big old hat could be a home for a family of cats? We had the gloves at some point but they are long gone. Little hands can fumble a bit with the vest belt, too. Our pants have a velcro fly with an internal snap instead of a button, so no complaints there. The hat is large but that works for the snow bunny look. I can't bring myself to downgrade this set because of the intense pinkness; it was, after all, meant for little girls. But the fact that the pieces are not versatile for mix-and-match purposes does lower the grade in my estimation to a B. It originally retailed for $24; since it is an older rather dated look, I personally wouldn't pay much more than that on the secondary market.
