Winter Magic Outfit (2004-2005, 2023)

The other reviewers have described the outfit compenents well. I think the collar dresses it up and so we always use it, but I like that the option is there for a different look without it. I personally think the heavy ribbed tights were a regrettable choice; they weigh the outfit down and it can be difficult to get the shoes wrapped over them. I prefer a thinner white tight with this outfit. The floofy adorable skirt is versatile enough to be matched with other things to create a wide variety of looks; the top is a little tight for much other than this kind of outfit but I suppose you could dress up a pair of jeans with it. Shoes are very sweet and I like the wrap-around elastic-- anything that helps keeps shoes on increases playability in my book!

Overall this outfit ranks high and gets a A from me. It comes around every holiday season on the secondary market and reasonable prices seem to hold firm at under $40.

Note that due to member reports, this top of this outfit is on our FAQ list of things that can stain doll vinyl. If you are concerned about that happening, consider wrapping your doll's arms in saran wrap before putting the outfit on her. Yes, saran wrap. Extreme perhaps, but it works to protect dolls.
