Fly-Fishing Outfit (2001-2002)

I expected a lot from this outfit, and it exceeded my expectations. It comes with a blue denim looking shirt, a plaid bucket hat, waders, a fishing vest, and boots.
There are so many beautiful details to this outfit. The shirt has tiny buttons down the front, the vest has 3 working pockets and a removable felt to hold lures, the boots have little buckles on the sides, and the waders have a belt around the middle just like real ones do. The materials are also spot on. My husband felt the waders and said the material felt just like his own waders.
As to playability... as wonderful as this outfit is, I feel that if you do not have a fisherman in the family it might not be appreciated as much because it is such a specific outfit. Also, this might not be the best outfit for younger girls as the buckles and zippers are very small and the snaps on the front of the shirt might not stand up to vigorous play.
With all of that, I have to give this outfit an A++. It reminds me of all the things I love about AG: quality, attention to detail, and celebration of the unique. I would say this outfit is a must have if the doll owner is a fishing enthusiast.
