Grade: A-I love Josefina's lunch. The canteen is beautiful. I particularly enjoy it because I'm Pueblo, just like the canteen, and my grandmother made traditional pottery. The two tortillas are really sweet- I'm so glad they actually made a real New Mexican lunch! The cheese, in its cheesecloth, is dear. I don't like the squash as much, because no one would eat a squash that size, it wouldn't be ripe yet! It should either be bigger, or just available in slices. The cuts in it are a nice detail, but no one would pack a lunch with little slivers sliced into the a whole squash. The plum is adorable! My only complaint is that it's made of a kind of gummy material. I'm not sure if others have encountered this, but mine is the sort of texture that makes dust stick to it very easily. As for the onions, again, they're oddly scaled next to the other foods. I'm guessing they're supposed to be pearl onions, but even so, why would someone take along three onions the same size as a plum, and just eat them straight? I really love onions, but even I can't see doing that. The cloth is darling. It looks so much like a print that Pueblo ladies would use for everyday dresses. Overall, this set is absolutely adorable and I highly recommend it, as long as your Josefina doesn't eat those onions!
