Birthday Outfit (Feast Outfit, Feast Day Finery)

This outfit is AG at its' best! There are lots of pieces (7 total,) with lots of very beautiful details. The camisa has a ruffle of fabric sewn around the neckline, and 3 ruffles of fabric sewn on each sleeve. The ruffles are sewn well and stay down. The skirt is 2 pieces of fabric, one white and one a turquoise and black print. A thin bright green ribbon covers the seam where the white fabric meets the print fabric. The bottom is edged with a black satin ribbon and black embroidered detail. The orange ribbon at the waist is a pearlescent orange color. It's just a ribbon but it's a nice thick one and stays wide when tied to create a very pretty splash of color. The 2 red hair ribbons are fairly straightforward but oh I love the Feast Day hairstyle on Josefina! The turquoise blue slippers are not my favorite pair of AG shoes, but they work OK for at home use. I would not take Josefina outside wearing them, they are very apt to slip off!
Overall, this is my favorite outfit for Josefina ever made by American girl. A+++
