Every time I get this set out, I think I've lost the little quill pen. Luckily, it's tucked away inside the ledger, but seriously- couldn't they have made it a bit bigger and sturdier? I love the ledger's brown leather cover. I think it's really cool how the ink used is brown, just as Josefina's probably was. I also like how Josefina's father's name is in the book, just as he wrote it in her school story! The inkwell is just adorable and the sibilario is fun to look it.

However, the real gem of the set is Tia Dolores's little notebook, full of sayings, poems, and songs she remembers learning with her sister, Josefina's Mamà.
