Pretty & Pink Outfit (2008-2009)

This outfit seems more fitting for the 18” dolls than the Bitty Baby. I doubt our Bitty Babies will use this outfit often.

Dress:
The dress has a satin like bodice and tweed skirt. It’s accented with a button near the neckline and velvet bows. The button isn’t functional, but it’s probably more durable this way. The skirt portion of the dress is thinner than I would’ve liked and is a little bit see-through. I will probably use a slip with it. The outfit fits well on both the Bitty Baby and 18” dolls. While tights are not necessary, the dress does look nice with the brown chocolate cherry tights.
Hat:
The velvet and tweed hat is fairly well made and is a typical Bitty Baby hat. It fits loosely on the Bitty Baby and well on the 18” dolls. It’s probably not a good hat to take out of the house.
Shoes:
The shoes are also made of velvet and tweed. While they’re not awful, they’re just okay. They fit both the Bitty Baby and 18” doll, but are a little wide on both of them. While I know that cloth soles are appropriate for infant shoes and are probably cheaper to produce, I do wish that they had hard soles. It would make them a little more versatile.
Book:
The book is a typical Bitty Baby book. It’s a story about Bitty Bear choosing an outfit to wear to Grandma’s.
