Schooltime Pants Outfit (2006-2008)
Grade: A
I really liked these outfits in the AG stock photos and was equally impressed with the sets in person. Both schooltime sets have lots of pieces that mix-and-match well with each other. The pieces also mix-and-match well with a variety of other JLY and Bitty Baby items. It’s a really nice basic set.
According to the AG Description:
For less dressy days, pair this ruffled peasant top with matching magenta pants. Crocheted hat features a flower appliqué. Coral-colored corduroy shoes have sweet magenta bows. Also includes the Bitty Twins Go to School book, with tips on preparing for preschool.
Blouse:
The cotton blouse has a Velcro closure in the back. It fits both the Bitty and 18” dolls, but the sleeves are a little short on the full-sized dolls.
Pants:
The knit pants have flower appliqués near the V-shaped slits on the pant legs and an elastic waist. The pants fit both the Bitty and 18” dolls, but the pants are a tiny bit short on the full-sized dolls.
Hat:
The hat is well made and I prefer it to Julie’s. The flower appliqué that matches the ones on the pants, the other schooltime top, and the schooltime skirt adds a nice touch. The hat fits well on the Bitty Twins and the 18” dolls, but is a little large for the Bitty Babies since they don’t have wigs.
Shoes:
The corduroy slip-on shoes have hard soles and purple velvet bows. The shoes fit easily on the Bitty and 18” dolls.
Book:
The book is about the Bitty Twins going to preschool. We usually don’t read the books more than once and I doubt it’ll get much use. There are parenting tips in the back about helping children adjust to preschool, but they’re nothing earth-shattering.
