This is a two-piece outfit but really, they needn't have bothered. It looks adorable as a one-piece and should have been made that way. Because when you take the skirt off to just use the onesie, you get to see more than anyone needs to of Bitty's thighs: You'll notice that the AG catalogue photos don't include this shot, choosing instead to display the onesie alone and not on a doll. Now we know why. Ugh, leg seams. I do think AG is has a good thing going with its Bitty Basics line of simple outfits at lower prices. This set features the quality fabric and finishing that we've come to expect from AG. The onesie has a velcro back closure and little hands shouldn't have much trouble tugging it on, although getting it over a lumpy diaper might be a challenge. The skirt needed more effort and might give little ones a challenge depending upon how chubby their Bitty Baby is. Those little kids who are the Bitty Baby's target market aren't likely to care that their doll's leg seams are showing. Therefore I guess I shouldn't complain (much) about that. But I'm still glad that I got this set with free shipping when it was on sale recently. I wouldn't pay $14 retail for it, personally. Grade is B- for poor design.
