Yes, it's plastic but it's very nice. I got one of those tinware kitchen furniture from the 1950s and the rusting on it is a nightmare, where I'm constantly afraid I'll stain my toys. So I'm very happy with this oven. The left door just shows a bit of fake fire. The right you can put stuff in it. The min-shelves open. It comes in two pieces so you have to do some assembling.
