I got this dress second-hand, so I don't know if it's pre-Mattel or Mattel. Anyway, on to the review:
Overall: A
The bodice fits fairly well om my skinnier Mattel doll. Id does have some extra room, but it looks fine. The skirt could use some pocket hoops to make it stand out, but I don't have any, and it looks fine without them too. The fabric is pretty, and it's supposed to look woven. The colors look great with a lot of different colorings of dolls, but it isn't really a mix and match piece in any way. I like that it has side slits for pockets.
