The purple background does not come through on the screenprint; only the graphic is printed onto the shirt.
I agree with snowybaby that the cost makes the worth debatable because the shirts are rather thin, but it's all relative. It was fun to have it done. If your doll's personality gibes with these graphics (with their admittedly circumscribed interests), a shirt makes a nice souvenir. We definitely preferred the long-sleeved versions to the short-sleeved. Grade B+ for long-sleeved shirts.
