Red Boots (RETIRED)

This was my giving in to Kirsten being archived purchase (well these and her pantalettes), and I'm pleased enough with them. They are pretty much identical to the black boots from her shoes and socks set, but in red with brown laces. The red is a darker shade than they looked to be in pictures and I like the darker colour better and the laces are a cotton string that is long enough to tie easily and stays tied without a problem. One very major difference from the boots pictured on the AG site though is that these DO NOT have the metal grommets. I'm still not sure if I'm disappointed about that or not, they are more authentic but less sturdy. Like Kirsten's black boots, these fit my PM doll fine which is nice. A-
ETA: I was at an AG store and the display boots had the grommets so I guess I just got an old pair or something. Anyways, here is a pic of my nearly brand new Mattel boots:
