Be careful about storing a doll in this long term, since the metal will tarnish. I had Molly in her trunk for probably a decade (while I went to college, had kids, etc.) and when I got her out again, I found that her face had been pressed up against one of the metal parts - probably one of the drawer pulls? - and she had gray tarnish stains in the vinyl of her noce & cheek. Yes, it's nice that it's real metal, but you do have to watch out for that.
On the other hand, since it's metal it's mostly indestructible. (Other than some scratches on the paint.) Mine got banged around a LOT and everything inside came out in great shape.
