I like this outfit a great deal but I am a total sucker for the look of lacing on anything, even if mostly decorative. The fabric is incredibly soft on this piece, and you can just imagine it being well-worn and feeling like home to Kirsten. The piece was marketed for a brief period as "the outfit Kirsten wore on the long, hard boat ride from Sweden to America" and it has a special place in my heart for that reason, ranking it right up there as an iconic must-have Kirsten piece even if it is not part of her core collection. It links Kirsten's past with her new life in America.
Totally A+ and well worth searching for on eBay at a cost you can live with if you've a mind to add it to your Kirsten treasures. This set does seem to appear regularly enough on the grey market at comparatively reasonable prices, although I've never seen one to compare to the original.
