All the girls we had with us today (7, 3 and 2) loved the camper! It seemed very plastic (even though it was made of plastic, it could have been made to look less so-- like Kit's tree house?). I was impressed with it compared to what I thought this would be, however.
The doll fits well at the table or in the shower and the bed folds down for the doll to sleep. It seemed like the bed would be sturdy to withstand a lot of play.
I wish more than one doll could fit; I don't often go camping alone. This seemed to be about the size of Julie's lockers or the 3-in-1 Bed for Dolls that was out a few years ago; Approximate weight: 43 pounds.W: 11 1/4" x H: 26" x L: 31 1/2", according to AG website. I like that it is rectangular, and has the possibility for you to stack it within your home collection if needed.
As far as story-lines go; if Lanie is all about the outdoors and environment, I would have thought she' prefer to tent it. The set comes with a lot of pieces/and attention to detail, there is a recycling can!
For the money ($295), I'd have liked to have seen it bigger and not look and feel so much like plastic. Overall I'd rate it a B
