Nighttime Necessities (RETIRED)

This is a detailed historically accurate set. The footwarmer is made from real wood and metal and opens to reveal a removable pan in which to place hot coals. The sides are made from punched tin in circle and heart patterns. This is an identical replica of real footwarmers. The hogscraper candle holder is also made from metal and has two notches to adjust the candle holder as the candle "melts." The candle is a basic plastic cylinder with no detail whatsoever. It is nearly identical to the candles in Kirsten's Holiday Treats. Kirsten's book is a nice hardcover replica of a real 19th century book and features black and white illustrations. Overall, this is one of the best sets in terms of historical accuracy, but it doesn't have much playability.
