Corduroy Skirt Set (2008-2011)

This set has to be one of the most popular outfits at my house. It sees tons of play time and has held up well. The style, colors, and pattern remind me of Hanna Andersson or Gymboree outfit. While it’s quite age appropriate, I think that this is one of the outfits that looks better on the 18” dolls. The set includes a green shrug-like cardigan, cream long-sleeved shirt, corduroy skirt, suede-like shoes, and book.
The green cardigan has a Velcro closure in front under the crotched flower. I really like that the shirt and cardigan are separate pieces. It really gives lots of mix and match options. In my opinion, you can never have too plain long-sleeved shirts. Both the shirt and the cardigan fit well on Bitty and the 18” dolls. They are also easy for younger children to get on and off.
Given the recent trend, I was afraid that the skirt was going to be on the short side. However, it is plenty long for both Bitty and the 18” dolls. The quality is great and it’s easy to get on and off. I do wish that the outfit had tights or hair accessories.
The shoes are definitely better than the shoes that come with the complementing outfit. They are a suede-like fabric and have embroidered flowers. However, with the soft soles, they seem more appropriate for Bitty Baby than the Bitty Twins.
The book is one of the better Bitty books. However, our Bitty books are rarely read over-and-over.

I strongly recommend this set to anyone who has modern dolls.
