Birthday Outfit (Feast Outfit, Feast Day Finery)

So for the beribboned hairstyle, is a length of ribbon just attached to the top of one braid section, and then braided with that section of hair? I've tried it, but then I'm not very good with hairstyles and it didn't turn out too well. But I didn't secure it at the top, so that probably makes a difference!
