Raincoat & Boots Set + Book (2010-2012)

I absolutely love this set! The coat and hat are a beautiful blue and made of really heavy, nice cotton material. The coat is very similar to a trench coat in material and style. The buttons are actual buttons (no velcro!) I've found that the buttons are kind of hard to get buttoned if the doll has an outfit underneath the coat, but not so difficult if she's naked underneath. The top button is very hard to get buttoned on the doll regardless though, but it doesn't bother me because I wouldn't button all the way up anyway. I just wanted to let others know. It's not that the button holes are too small, they are actually perfect size. The problem is more because of the style of the coat. It's difficult to get fingers around the buttons to get them done up. The only part of the set that I do not like is the belt that goes around the coat. I feel like it needs another loop to keep it from hanging awkwardly from the doll's middle. Also, the end of the belt has begun to fray already from putting it through the little (plastic) buckle on the front. The boots are AMAZING! They are made of rubber (latex/rubber allergies beware) that's fairly thick. I don't think they will tear, but parents should take care in showing kids how to put them on the first time. There is a little side buckle that could tear if pulled on roughly. The boots also have a white fabric lining, so there won't be any green dolly legs or feet!
