I use mine strictly as background props for my stage diorama. The dolls can't sit on the stool, but I think the idea was for them to be kind of proped up with one leg on the floor. The chair is a sturdy metal, but the other pieces are plastic. They work well as props but that is about it. I honestly think that is what the stool is *meant* to be: a stage prop. Not a functional stool. Most singers don't sit on stools (and for good reason, as it would affect their breathing) but they are used in staging, even for the pop stars of the target market age kids. AG didn't make the intent clear....and clearly $42 is awfully pricey for a prop!
