Disappointing would be the one word I’d use to describe this set. The concept is great, but the execution is lacking. The set contains a cookie tin, cocoa mug, and sheet music.
The cookie tin is plastic and has four formed plastic cookies attached to the bottom. I understand that separate cookies could be a possible choking hazard, but the attached cookies really subtract from the play potential. It seems like it’s mainly a display piece. This portion of the set is quite a downgrade compared to the 1998 tin, which has a real tin and removable cookies.
The cup of cocoa is my favorite part of the set. Even though the cup is plastic and a bit on the small side, the pretend cocoa and whipped-cream are a nice touch. I do think the set should contain a second set of cocoa to share with a friend.
The sheet music is cheap and virtually useless. The paper feels like typical copy paper and isn’t very durable.
